We appreciate that taking time off is difficult, as such we utilise blended learning to reduce your time in centre. To comply with SIA regulations you will need to complete an e-learning course prior to attending, this reduces your time in centre by a full day. The CCTV Operator Training (Public Space Surveillance) is for you if you want an SIA CCTV Licence and legally work as a CCTV Operator.
This is a 3-day course and covers all the topics to help you pass your CCTV exam and work as a qualified CCTV Operator.
There are approximately 4 to 6 million CCTV cameras in the UK, with over 11,000 on the London Underground alone. Keeping watch over these CCTV cameras are thousands of people who all have one thing in common – they all have an SIA CCTV Operator Licence.

The course covers everything from the legal aspects of CCTV monitoring to practical lessons on equipment and usage.
The SIA CCTV course runs over 3-days and is divided into 3 units:
- Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
- Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator
- Unit 3: Practical Use of CCTV Systems
The CCTV training course has two exams and a practical assessment.
